Not as awkward as the angles in which Sonic’s going to find his limbs in a moment.

Merry Last Minute Christmas!

Update for January:
To everyone still watching the site, I want to thank you all for sticking with us. I am very sorry to have left you all in the dark for so long. We have not had much time for the comic this month, and on top of that we’re in the middle of making plans for the comic’s direction. I promise we will start throwing some updates your way before long, but I want to thank you all for your patience with us and our flaky update schedule.

Just a bit of filler to tie you over while the next comic is drawn!

To any Little Big Planet fans out there, a set of Sonic the Hedgehog sackboys are coming out. No word on a NA release of this DLC yet.

In other news, we’ve been nominated for a Sonic Site Award! Vote for us for Most Entertaining!

Yeah, sorry, more filler. We’ll try to have an actual comic up soon.

This is a question that comes up every time SEGA tries to make a new racing game featuring Sonic and company. Sonic is the fastest thing alive, right? So why does he have to constantly drive a car or ride a hoverboard? The answer, of course, is that if he didn’t, it would unbalance the game. Since Sonic’s land speed could guarantee his victory in any number of racing events, obviously they’re handicapping him by giving all the characters vehicles. That’s not the pressing question though.

The truly pressing question is, why does he put up with it?

Oh, and don’t bring up Sonic R. Let’s just pretend that game doesn’t exist.

I picked up Punch-Out!! for the Wii last week. This game is awesome. It’s got everything that made the original Punch-Out!! great, and just throws in a ton more to do. The original Punch-Out!! was over once you defeated all three circuits and Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream, and Super Punch-Out!! added in a Time Trial mode to augment that. The Wiimake contains all that and so much more. Clearing the three main circuits counts for only about 1/4 of the total things to do in the game. There’s still Title Defense and Mac’s Last Stand, not to mention Exhibition Mode.

I think I can go so far as to say that if you own a Wii, you should at least give this game a rent. It’s tons of fun that’ll keep you guessing, throwing your controller, and coming right back for more.

Just filler today. Back Thursday!

Yes, today is just filler. We’re working on a new full strip, and will have it up as soon as we can.

I frequently lurk on Ian Flynn’s message board looking for comic previews and reviews before I get the actual issue. While there, I’ve seen previews for #199, #201, and even #202, but not issue #200. Maybe I didn’t dig hard enough, and I know a preview of the issue is available on the Archie Comics Blog. But between that and the fact that this IS the long-awaited issue #200, reflecting on what could possibly happen has given me pause. Considering the fact that it IS a landmark issue, and that Ian has a tendency to go for status-quo-shattering moves as a general matter, I wouldn’t put something THIS major past him.

Of course I, and everyone else, will have to wait for the book to hit the newsstands. Just remember, if it happens, I totally called it.

Just some filler to tie you over while we get our sprites finished.

This strip is based mostly on true events. The day I got Sonic and the Black Knight, I played it non-stop until I beat it. However, the game had so much non-stop waggle going on that I ended up barely able to move my arm for the next two or three days after.

Those warnings to take periodic breaks in games like Wii Sports? Maybe there was something to them after all…
