"Happily ever after didn't last as long as we'd hoped."
So goes the story of the Nine Kingdoms, a place where our most beloved fairy tales are written history and magic is real.
Nearly 250 years ago, the historical events of Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Snow White's rise to power occured. Each of the nine kingdoms flourished during this time, called The Golden Age--but only a handful of them have survived. A few kingdoms lay in ruin. Some are completely forgotten.
Though the times are still peaceful, the wicked have began to grow once more among the weak and corrupted.
Six months ago, the Nine Kingdoms suffered an attack of tremendous proportions, started by a deciple of the original queen who attempted to murder Snow White before the Golden Age. She was stopped, however, by four legendary figures: Virginia, Antony, Wolf, and King Wendell of the Fourth Kingdom. They will be written about in history books for hundred of years to come.
But they didn't stop the evil completely.
Recently, there have been whispers--mere rumors--of new warriors, those who were imprisoned by the Queen during the Golden Age, who are trying to continue where the Queen could not. Their powers, granted by five magic mirrors, are far more powerful than any The Four have experienced...
If they can't save the nine kingdoms, then who can?

December 23rd, 2004: Ugh, bad Gena, bad bad Gena! Shame on you for not updating in over a month! This month has been murder on all of the BFT cast--but rest assured, I'm not dead! New results are up, and a new review deadline--which we will stick to this time--for applications has been set. Also, thank you, Liadan, for your contribution in the about section! Still working on getting the Oz section up--and look! 3000 hits! Yay!
